About Us

Built by a Veteran. Born from Loss. Driven by Purpose.

Our Story

I joined the United States Army at 18 years old. Before I turned 19, I was a combat veteran.

From 2005 to 2011, I served six years on active duty as a UH-60 Blackhawk Crew Chief and Door Gunner with B Company, 25th Infantry Division β€” the Knighthawks. Over 27 months in Iraq, I logged more than 1,000 combat flight hours, protecting the men and women on the ground below and the crew beside me in the air.

One of the people I flew with most was Chris Elliott β€” a fellow Knighthawk, a combat veteran, and one of my closest brothers. We shared over 200 combat hours together in the skies over Iraq. When we came home, we stayed close the way veterans do β€” not because it was easy, but because some bonds don't break.

Chris and I spent years riding adventure motorcycles across the United States together, covering nearly 20,000 miles of open road. Those rides were freedom. They were healing. They were the kind of miles that remind you why it was worth coming home.

In January 2025, Chris took his own life.

Veteran suicide is a crisis that doesn't make the news the way it should. It happens quietly, to people who survived the worst the world could throw at them β€” and couldn't find a way through what came after. Chris was one of them. He was one of the best people I've ever known.

Stags Flags was born from that loss. Every flag I build by hand is a way of honoring Chris, honoring every veteran who's still fighting battles no one can see, and doing something real about it. With every flag sold, $7 goes directly to local veteran suicide prevention organizations. It's not a lot on its own β€” but multiplied across every flag, every customer, every year, it adds up to something that matters.

I don't build flags to fill walls. I build them to start conversations, to honor service, and to make sure veterans like Chris are never forgotten.

Why Every Purchase Matters

When you buy a Stags Flag, you're not just getting a handcrafted, individually numbered piece of American art. You're directly funding organizations on the front lines of veteran suicide prevention. Every single sale makes a difference.

Our Partners in the Fight

We're proud to support these four organizations working every day to keep veterans alive and connected:

Handcrafted. Numbered. One of a Kind.

Every Stags Flag is built by hand β€” stained, distressed, and finished to bring out the natural character of the wood. No two flags are exactly alike, and every one ships with its own unique number. That's intentional. Just like the people they honor.
